Bob Sanguinetti

The changing energy landscape has gathered even more momentum in the last 12 months and the large-scale development of renewable energy represents the biggest opportunity for sustainable economic growth in Scotland for a generation. Aberdeen is perfectly located to be Europe’s energy transition capital, and Aberdeen Harbour’s £400 million port expansion project will be at the heart of the development of high potential sectors, including offshore wind and green hydrogen.

Bob Sanguinetti joined Aberdeen Harbour Board as Chief Executive in 2021, bringing an extensive background in the maritime industry. Prior to joining the port, Bob led the UK Chamber of Shipping, where he influenced Government, Parliament and global organisations to champion and protect the UK’s shipping industry. Bob was Chief Executive of the Port of Gibraltar between 2014 – 2018 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the Royal Navy, in sea and land-based roles.
